"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:46-47

Whether you've walked with God for fifty years, or feel that you hardly know Him at all, Life Groups can help you meet the everyday challenges of life that we all face.

Why do we have Life Groups? In Exodus 18, we read that not long after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt it became apparent that the structure for managing such a multitude had to change. Needing simple counsel and direction, the people waited in long lines at Moses' tent. This wore the people out and exhausted Moses. Moses' father-in-law instilled in him the timeless principle of delegation and oversight. He arranged the "Church in the Wilderness" into teams of 10's, 50's, 100's, and 1000's. Only the hard cases reached Moses' attention.

This pastoral system proved enormously effective and efficient as three million people marched, moved, and warred together with no public address system, email, or Internet.

Moving people into relationship and oversight is a time-proven method of pastoring people. The early church accommodated harvest immediately by meeting "house to house" (Acts 2:46).

What do you do in a Life Group? You meet with people in their homes for the purpose of sharing in fellowship and caring for each other in prayer. This loving, supportive atmosphere is present in every Life Group gathering.

Life Groups are a place where you can develop friendships and find brothers and sisters who will take the time to listen, care, and pray for your concerns. Some Life Groups target specific topics of concern in your life such as children, finances, marriage, hobbies, etc.

Reaching out to those in need is also a big part of Life Groups. Approximately 75% of believers were born again not by visiting a service, but because they developed a personal relationship with a believer! So we make it a habit to invite those who might not come to church to come to our homes and enjoy the food and fellowship of believers. It is through these personal relationships that we will have the opportunity to share Jesus with someone who does not know Him.

Life Groups are a great place for leadership training. Training our members begins with the basic premise that every believer can be a leader. Though their levels of leadership will vary based on their giftings, all believers can be trained in doctrine, caring, witnessing, spiritual gifts, and training others.

How long does each meeting last? Life Group meetings vary in length depending on the leader, but generally last about one-and-a-half hours.

Can I bring my children? Yes. Your children are welcome to come. Some groups encourage the children to be a part of the praise and worship time of the meeting. They then go and have their own children's activities.

What about my teenager? For your teens, we have Life Groups that meet to specifically reach out to our jr. high, high school, and college-age groups.
